Eva Fathima Basheer, a Grade 3 student at GEMS Millennium School in Sharjah, has been recognized with the prestigious India Book of Records Achievers Award for her remarkable achievement of reading English storybooks aloud for the longest uninterrupted duration by a child. The 9-year-old student successfully read text from six English storybooks for an impressive 4 hours, 31 minutes, and 38 seconds, earning official acknowledgment from the India Book of Records.
The award was presented to Ms. Basheer on March 29, 2025, at the India Book of Records center in Faridabad, Haryana, marking a major milestone in her academic and extracurricular endeavors.
In addition to her record-breaking feat, Ms. Basheer has consistently excelled academically, achieving top marks in her studies. She has also earned Gold Medals in several national and international Olympiads organized by prominent institutions.
Beyond academics, Ms. Basheer is an active participant in a wide range of extracurricular and voluntary activities, including cleanliness drives, environmental campaigns, fundraising for social causes, and advocating for safety practices.
